On Saturday, September 28th, Mellor Village Hall was transformed into the Wild West for our much-anticipated Country Night.
As the sun set, the village came alive with excitement, and locals poured in, dressed in their finest country attire. Cowboy hats, boots, and plaid shirts were out in full force, bringing a lively Western vibe to the hall.
From the moment guests walked through the doors, the atmosphere was electric. The hall, decorated with rustic charm, had all the hallmarks of a perfect country setting. Bales of hay, checkered tablecloths, and festoon lights set the scene as friends and neighbors gathered for a night of dancing, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We eve had a wonderful group of Ladies from Warrington!
As the wounderful music from Shoestring Band (aka Ross Whittaker) and Dermot Doyle kicked in, so did the dancing! The floor filled up quickly, with everyone showing off their best line-dancing moves. It didn’t matter if you were a seasoned two-stepper or a complete beginner—there was room for everyone to join in. The dance floor busy until late into the night.
And of course, what’s a country night without great food and drinks? The bar was stocked with cold beers, ciders, and some cheeky whiskey shots for those looking to channel their inner cowboy .
As the night came to an end, there was no doubt about it—our Country Night was a roaring success. We can’t thank everyone enough for coming out, dressing up, and making the night truly special. The only downside? It had to end! But don’t worry, we’re already planning our next big event, and after the success of Country Night, you know it’s going to be one to remember. Keep your boots polished and your hats at the ready, Mellor—there’s more fun coming your way!
